NA Servers are shutting down

It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that all ClassicCounter NA servers are shutting down on the 27th of February, 2025. As much as I loved the NA community, no one has been playing there for a long while and it isn’t really financially viable for Heapy to keep hosting these servers anymore.

Thanks for your understanding, and maybe we could schedule an NA pug or two for the last time on the 26th of this month.

IF there will be enough demand for these servers in the future I can re-host them myself, but this probably won’t be an overnight thing.

PS: If you would like to be notified about any future NA pugs, please grab yourself the NA ping role from #roles.

Patch Notes 2/8/2025

New patch just released!

– Fixed butterfly animation (the wrist was twisting weirdly when pulling out knife)

Simple Queue System

Added a simple Queue system to Ollums site!
It was out earlier very briefly (last week) as a test (it was very broken) but now I’m confident enough to make it somewhat public! I’m planning to replace the ranked pug servers with this, unranked pugs will always be there though.

Features of this new system:

– Cooldowns for leaving, killing teammates, suicides are back and working fully and are integrated with my site (Beware though: if you get a cooldown on MM you might not be able to play on PUGs for the duration of it)
– The Queue will create a server and a match just for you – Currently we are saving every match in the database (and obviously demos) but I currently don’t have a webpage for accessing match history data, this will be a thing in the future. You will be able to see who you played with and against, which map it was, how long the match was, a link to the demo of that match, etc.
– Balanced teams – This system will choose your team based on other players’ ranks, so that the teams are balanced based on your existing rank.
– Bots are enabled! – Just like CS:GO matchmaking, and if a player leaves a bot will take his place.
– Map rotations for every hour – I have been thinking about a veto system, but I don’t want people picking the same maps over and over
– You will get 4 cases instead of 3 🤯
– 1.5x Rank boost (That means it might either be 1.5x faster for you to rank up or 1.5x faster for you to rank down!)

I might add some more features to it (like making lobbies to queue with friends), but for now this is how I want to release it as a beta.
